AlertEnterprise, a developer of security software aimed at industrial control systems, physical access systems, as well as IT systems, announced Thursday that it had received $19M in an investment round. The round was led by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, and also included Opus Capital and Startup Farms Investors. AlertEnterprise is aimed at preventing theft, fraud, and acts of terrorism against IT infrastructure. As part of the funding, KPCB's Ray Lane joins the company's board. Jasvir Gill is the founder and CEO of AlertEnterprise.
