Vodpod Acquired By Lockerz
San Francisco-based Vodpod, an operator of a social video sharing and aggregation site, has been acquired by Lockerz, the Kleiner Perkins backed social points and promotions site based in Seattle. According to Lockerz, it has acquired Vodpod.com and related assets from Remixation, Inc., allowing its members to create personalized video channels. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. The firms said that Remixation will refocus its efforts on its other project, Showyou, a social video discovery application for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.
