VeriFone Acquires Buys Global Bay Mobile
San Jose-based VeriFone Systems said Tuesday that it has acquired Global Bay Mobile Technologies, a developer of smartphone- and tablet-based shopping and payment applications. Financial terms of the buy wer enot disclosed. VeriFone said that Sandeep Bhanote, co-founder of Global Bay, becomes General Manager of its Mobile Retail Systems business; co-founder Nimit Sabharwal becomes Senior Director of Operations.
