AMD Chops 10 Percent
Sunnyvale-based AMD said Thursday afternoon that it will cut its staff by approximately 10 percent, as part of a restructuring of the company.AMD said the move will save the firm more than $200M in 2012. The cuts will affect roughly 1400 employees at the company. AMD said the cuts will occur across all functions globally at the semiconductor maker.
