cPacket Gets $1M In SBIR
Mountain View-based cPacket Networks, a developer of packet inspection chips, said today that it has scored $1M in a SBIR grant from the Department of Energy. cPacket said the grant will go towards a 100 Gbps (gigabit per second) scalable Network Intrusion Detection System. The firm said it will apply its technology to help prevent malicious attacks, protecting government and commercial organizations. cPacket won the deal along with partners International Computer Science Institute and the National Energy Research Scientific Computer Center (NERSC).
