Kontagent, the developer of user analytics software used to understand the social web, said Thursday that it has raised $12M in a Series B financing round. The round was led by Battery Ventures, and also included Maverick Capital and Altos Ventures. Roger Lee of Battery joins the company's board with the funding. Kontagent's software is used by clients such as EA, Warner Brothers, Popcap, Ubisoft, Gaia, and A&E to understand how users are using their social applications.
