Intel Capital, the venture capital arm of chip giant Intel, said Tuesday that it has created a new, $100 million fund it is calling the Intel Capital AppUp Fund. The venture firm said the fund will invest in software tools and services companies developing innovative applications and digital content for the mobile and PC ecosystem. The first investments out of the new fund are Urban Airship and 4tiitoo. Urban Airship is based in Portland, Oregon, and 4tiitoo is based in Germany.
