Facebook Acquires Gowalla, Says Report
Facebook has acquired check-in and location guide firm Gowalla, according to a report this evening from CNNMoney. The report said that a source close to Gowalla disclosed the deal. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. Gowalla had recently shifted to developing travel information guides, after it failed to gain traction in the location based check-in market against competitors Foursquare and Facebook.
