HealthTap, a new startup which allows users to ask any health question online, and get an answer from a real doctor for free, announced today that it has raised $11.5M in a Series A funding. The funding was led by Mayfield Fund, Mohr Davidow Ventures, and
Eric Schmidt's
Innovation Endeavors. HealthTap is led by
Ron Gutman, and allows users to ask health questions via its site or an online app, nd receive real answers from doctors. HealthTap said its service both help provide reliable health information to consumers, as well as connect consumers with connections for in-person care.
