San Carlos-based PharmacoFore, a biopharmaceuticals firm working on compounds to treat diseases of the central and peripheral nervous systems, said Tuesday that it has raised $10M in an equity funding round. The round came from the Founders Fund. As part of the funding, Ken Howery joins the company's board of directors. PharmacoFore said it is using synthetic organic chemistry to create medicines for treating conditions related to the central and peripheral nervous systems. PharmacoFore is headed by WEs Sterman.
