VeriFone Completes Point Acquisition
San Jose-based VeriFone Systems reported this morning that it has completed its acquisition of Point, a European payment and gateway services provider for retailers. VeriFone had said it would acquire Point in November. The deal is worth approximately $818M. VeriFone is funding the acquisition with a $1.5B credit agreement from J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated, Wells Fargo Securities, LLC, Barclays Capital and RBC Capital Markets.
