Thoma Bravo Buys Telestream
Private equity firm Thoma Bravo, which has offices in San Francisco, said today that it has acquired Nevada City, California-based Telestream. Telestream is a provider of video transcoding software. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Thoma Bravo said that Telestream will continue to be headed by co-founder and CEO Dan Castles. Thoma Bravo said the acquisition is its nineteenth in the software space. Telestream was founded in 1998, and has 160 employees.
