Google is continuing to take the axe to its varied services, saying Friday that it is cutting image editing software Picnik, along with Google Message Continuity, Google Sky Map, Needlebase, Social Graph API, and Urchin. Google said at the beginning of the year that it was in the midst of trimming its very long list of services, cutting products that replicate other features, "haven't achieved the promise" hoped for, or can't be integrated into the overall Google experience.
