Intel has acquired the InfiniBand business of networking adapater maker
QLogic, in a deal worth $125M. QLogic said it would sell its InfiniBand product lines and assets to Intel as an effort to greater focus to growth opportunities in the converged networking, enterprise Ethernet, and storage area networking products at the company. QLogic also said that Intel would be able to invest more in the InfiniBand business for its InfiniBand customers and partners.
