AlienVault Beams In $8M For Security Tools
Campbell-based AlienVault, a developer of security and event management products for the cyber security market, said this morning that it has raised $8M in a Series B financing round. The round was led by Trident Capital, and also included prior investors Adara Venture Partners and Neotec. Trident's J. Alberto Yepez has joined the company as Chairman of the board, with Trident's Michael Biggee also joining on the board of directors. The firm said the funding will go towards research and development and sales and marketing. Trident devleops an open source, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) product.
