Uptake Acquired By Groupon
Palo Alto-based Uptake, which operated an online travel review and travel information site, has been acquired by Groupon. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed, however, AllthingsD reported the sale in the "teens" of millions. Uptake had raised around $17M from Shasta Ventures and Trinity Ventures. Uptake was headed by Yen Lee.
