Eye-Fi Sees $20M More
Mountain View-based Eye-Fi, the developer of wireless memory cards which synchronize digital photos with cloud photo services, said this morning that it has raised $20M in a Series D funding. The funding was led by NTT DOCOMO, and also included prior investors Shasta Ventures, Opus Capital and TransLink Capital. Eye-Fi said the strategic investment by NTT DOCOMO will help expand availability of its products worldwide. Eye-Fi's cards work with digital cameras, and allow those cameras to automatically upload those photos via Wi-Fi connections to a user's social media accounts, photo storage services, or their home computer.
