Varian Medical Systems, which manufactures medical devices and software for the radiotherapy, radiosurgery, and brachytherapy market, announced today that it has acquired
InfiMed, a developer of workstations for processing diagnostic X-ray images. Varian said it will pay approximately $15M for InfiMed, plus earnout based on sales over the next 24 months. InfiMed was founded in 1983, and generates around $15M in annual revenues, according to Varian. InfiMed was based in Syracuse, New York.
