Roving Networks Acquired By Microchip Technology
Los Gatos-based Roving Networks, a developer of low-power, embedded Wi-Fi and Bluetooth products, has been acquired by microcontroller developer Microchip Technology, Microchip said this morning. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced by the companies. Microchip said the buy would be "immediately accretive" to the firm. Roving Networks had been headed by Mike Conrad, who will continue to head up efforts at its Los Gatos office.
