Ark, which is based in San Francisco, has raised $4.2M in a seed funding round, the firm said today. The round came from Andreessen Horowitz, Charles River Ventures, Greylock Partners, Intel Capital, SV Angel, Atlas Ventures, Crosslink Capital, Expansion Venture Capital, Felicis Ventures, along with angels. Ark develops an online service which uses social network connections to find out as much as it can about people, to help people locate other people, based on the information it has mined from Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, and other social sites.
