Appthority Secures $6.25M
San Francisco-based Appthority, a developer of software used to manage security of mobile applications, said today that it has raised $6.25M in a Series A financing round. The round was led by Venrock and US Venture Partners, and also included law firm Gunderson Dettmer. Both Ray Rothrock of Venrock and Steve Krausz of USVP will join the firm's board along with the funding. Appthority's security software helps scan mobile applications for security risks, and automates blocking of those apps from corporate devices.
