LinkedIn Buys SlideShare
Mountain View-based LinkedIn said last night that it has acquired SlideShare, in a deal worth approximately $118.75M. Mountain View-based SlideShare, which is led by Rashmi Sinha, was venture backed by Venrock, the only investor in the firm, last announcing funding worth $3M in 2008. SlideShare was founded in October of 2006. LinkedIn said the deal is made up of 45 percent cash and approximately 55 percent stock.
