mSpot Acquired By Samsung
Palo Alto-based mSpot, a developer of digital media and content for the mobile phone market, has been acquired by Samsung, Samsung announced Wednesday afternoon. Financial terms of the deal were not announced. Samsung said the deal includes the full scope of technology, assets and human resources under mSpot. mSpot's investors included Trinity Ventures. mSpot's lead product was mSpot Music, a music service aimed at streaming music to users on mobile phones, even in spotty coverage areas.
