PowerReviews, which develops Internet ratings and reviews software for e-commerce retailers, has been acquired by
Bazaarvoice, a competing ratings and reviews software firm. Bazaarvoice said it will pay $151.9M for PowerReviews, which is venture backed by Draper Richards, Four Rivers Partners, Lehman Brothers Venture Partners, Menlo Ventures, Tenaya Capital, and Woodside Fund. PowerReviews had raised somewhere in the range of 36M in funding. Bazzarvoice said the deal is made up of $31.0M in cash plus 6.5 million shares of Bazaarvoice common stock. PowerReviews was headed by Ken Comee.
