Facebook Buys Face.com
Mountain View-based social networking site Facebook said today that it has acquired San Francisco-based Face.com, a developer of facial recognition software. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Face.com said the company's team would be joining Facebook, and that it would also continue to provide developers with support.
