Network Equipment Technologies Acquired by Sonus Networks
Fremont-based Network Equipment Technologies, the developer of networking and communications equipment, has been acquired by Sonus Networks, a developer of SIP communications gear, in a deal worth approximately $42M. Sonus said it would pay $1.35 per share for NET, which it will use to expand its product capabilities for the branch office and small office. Sonus is based in Westford, Mass.
