Yammer Acquired By Microsoft For $1.2 Billion
San Francisco-based Yammer has been acquired by Microsoft for $1.2 billion in cash, Microsoft confirmed Monday. Yammer, headed by David Sacks, provides a micro-messaging service targeted at enterprises, which functions much like a private Twitter. Yammer will become part of Microsoft's Office Division.
