Booshaka Scares Up $1M For Social Media Metrics
Redwood City-based Booshaka, which operates an online service which helps businesses identify their most active social media fans, has raised $1M in a funding round, the company disclosed today. The firm said its Series A funding came from SV Angel, PivotNorth Capital, FF Angel, Joe Lonsdale (Palantir), Peter Weck (SimplyHired), and Rich Skrenta (Blekko). Booshaka's service helps companies ferret out who the top 10 percent of their social media fans are, on Facebook and other services, and helps companies engage with them to spur better social media response.
