Getaround, which operates an online, peer-to-peer marketplace for car rentals and sharing, said today that it has raised $13.9M in a Series A funding round. The round was led by
Menlo Ventures, and also included Marissa Mayer,
A-Grade Investments (the investment fund of
Ashton Kutcher),
Innovation Endeavors (
Eric Schmidt), as well as
Collaborative Fund, SOSventures (Sean O’Sullivan),
Correlation Ventures,
Sam Shank (HotelTonight),
David Sacks (Yammer),
Bobby Yazdani (Saba Software), Matias de Tezanos (Hoteles.com), Dan Martell (Clarity.fm), and Juan Diego Calle (.CO). Shervin Pishevar of
Menlo Ventures joins the company's board along with the funding.
