UrbanSitter, a startup which is hoping to make it easier for parents to find a babysitter, said today that it has raised $6M in a Series A funding round. The San Francisco firm said that the round was led by
Canaan Partners, and also included
First Round Capital,
Menlo Ventures,
Rustic Canyon Partners, and angels. UrbanSitter, which launched in San Francisco last September, says is now has more than 22,000 members. The site allows babysitters to set up an account, advertise their rates, and also allows parents to find and get information on those babysitters.
