Clever, a developer of software and APIs for the education market, which helps schools and software developers manage and access student data, has raised $3M in a seed funding. The funding came from
Y Combinator, SV Angel,
Mike Maples,
Jeff Clavier,
Google Ventures,
Bessemer Venture Partners,
Mitch Kapor,
Ashton Kutcher, as well as others. Clever is trying to create a common API and interface which can help application developers, and schools, manage and access information about students.
