Mobiplex Lands $3.1M For Tracking Players' Golf Swing
Santa Clara-based Mobiplex, a developer of golf motion analysis software and accessories, said this morning that it has raised $3.1M in a Series A funding round. Name of its investors were not announced. Mobiplex uses wireless sensors and a user's smartphone to help golfers capture, analyze, and track their performance on both iOS and Android. The firm's first product is a Bluetooth-enabled, 3D motion sensors which attaches to a golf club and captures a user's playing data. The firm is headed by Vijay Nadkarni. Mobiplex said the funding will go towards global sales growth and towards its product.
