Google Hit By Phony Acquisition Release
No, Mountain View-based Google has not acquired wireless hotspot provider ICOA, despite what an apparently fake press release says. The release--put out on PRWeb--claimed that ICOA had been acquired for $400M by Google. That release--despite still being posted on PRWeb--was false, according to statements from both ICOA and Google. ICOA is publicly traded on the over-the-counter market.
