Google Pushes Chromebooks Via Educational Discount
Google is hoping to gain better adoption for its Chromebook, the firm's Chrome-based notebook computer, by offering those machines at a heavily discounted price of $99. Google said it is working with DonorsChoose.org to offer up its Samsung Series 5 chromebooks for only $99, including hardware, management, and support, a big discount from its usual $399 price. Google said over 1,000 schools have adopted the Chromebook in their classrooms.
