Airbnb Buys Localmind
San Francisco-based Airbnb said Thursday that it has acquired Localmind, a developer of a platform which crowdsources information on the "local scene" from users. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Airbnb said it has acquired the technology, intellectual property, product, and team behind Localmind. Airbnb said that it specifically acquired Localmind to help bolster its team, plus to add new social initiatives into Airbnb.
