San Mateo-based
Epocrates, the publicly held developer of mobile medical applications, has been acquired by
Athenahealth, the two said this week. Athenahealth said it would pay $11.75 per share in cash, or approximately $293M, for Epocrates. Epocrates develps mobile apps for the iPhone, iPad, Android, Blackberry, and other devices for accessing healthcare information.
