Extole Lands $7.6M
San Francisco-based Extole, a provider of social media and marketing services and software, said today that it has raised an additional $7.6M in a funding round. The round came from current investors Shasta Ventures, Norwest Venture Partners, Redpoint Ventures and Trident Capital. Extole said it has now raised $29.6M in funding. Extole said its platform is being used to drive "word of mouth" marketing online, for such brands as T-Mobile, Shutterfly, Redbox, Travel Channel, Zazzle, and Seamless.
