Oracle Acquires Acme Packet For $1.7B
Redwood Shores-based Oracle announced this morning that it is buying Acme Packet, the developer of session border control technology, in a deal worth $1.7 billion. Oracle will pay $29.25 per share for Acme Packet, whose networking equipment is used by voice and data service providers, and enterprise customers. Oracle said it will make Acme Packet a "core offering" as part of its Oracle Communications portfolio.
