Ribbon Ties Up $1.6M For Social Commerce
Ribbon, a San Francisco startup developing an social commerce platform which lets users sell products and accept payments from the web, Facebook, and other social sites, said today that it has raised $1.6M in a seed funding round. The round came from Draper Associates, Siemer Ventures, Emil Michael (Klout), Naguid Sawiris, Winston Ibrahim (Hydros), and MicroVentures. Ribbon's services allow users to list items for sale, distribute those sales to fans and followers, and accept credit card payments.
