Kilopass, a developer and licensor of intellectual property for the non-volatile memory semiconductor market, said it has raised $8M in a funding round. The firm said it came from a major, consumer electronics licensee of the company. Name of that investor was not disclosed. Kilopass develops non-volatile, one-time programmable semiconductor IP, which it licenses to other companies. The company said the new funds will go to expand its technology roadmap. Kilopass is venture backed by U.S. Venture Partners, BlueRun Ventures, Pitango Venture Capital, and others.
