WiFiSlam, which develops technology for indoor geolocation of smartphones, has been acquired by
Apple. Financial details of the deal were not announced by Apple, however, the acquisition has been pegged at $20M by multiple sources. WiFiSlam's technology was being developed to let smartphones precisely pinpoint their locations indoors using Wi-Fi signals. WiFiSlam was venture backed by Don Dodge (Google), Sky Dayton (Boingo Wireless), and Relay Ventures.
