Facebook Buys Osmeta
Palo Alto-based social networking giant Facebook has acquired Osmeta, a Mountain View-based startup developing mobile software technology. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Osmeta was in stealth mode, and was headed by Amit Singh, who has previously worked at Google, IBM Almaden Research Center, and Bell Laboratories. No other details of the acquisition have been announced.
