Google Buys Makani Power
Mountain View-based Google has acquired Makani Power, a developer of airborne, wind turbine systems to generate energy. Financial details of the buy were not announced. according to Makani Power, the acquisition is the formalization of a "long and productive relationship" between the two companies, and will also help it accelerate its work on wind energy.
