San Francisco-based
Expect Labs, which is developing software technology to help better understand and analyze conversations in real time, has raised a strategic round of funding, the firm announced this morning. The funding came from Liberty Global Ventures and IDG Ventures USA. Financial details of the funding were not disclosed. Expect Labs is also backed by Google, Intel, Samsung, and Telefonica. Expect Labs said its software is aimed at understanding conversations from a user, to help create "intelligent assistants" to ancipate a user's need for information.
