Grockit Acquired By Kaplan
San Francisco-based online learning provider Grockit has been acquired by test prep firm Kaplan, Kaplan announced this morning. Financial terms were not disclosed. Grockit--which is now going by the name Learnist--was founded by Farb Nivi, and was venture backed by Atlas Venture, Benchmark Capital, Discovery Communications, Inc., Integral Capital Partners, GSV Capital and NewSchools Ventures. The firm had raised around $45M in funding. Grockit was advised by GSV Advisors in the deal.
