Synack Secures $1.5M
Menlo Park-based Synack, which is developing a system to help crowdsource security testing for companies, has raised $1.5M in a seed funding round. The funding came from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Greylock Partners, along with Wing Venture Partners, Allegis Capital, and Derek Smith (Shape Security). Synack has developed a system to vet "white hat" security researchers and pay them to uncover vulnerabilities in software or online systems.
