eASIC Gets Strategic Investment From Seagate
Cupertino-based eASIC reports today that it has scored a strategic investment from Seagate Technology. Financial terms of the strategic investment were not disclosed. eASIC said that along with the equity investment, the two are working together to develop custom silicon for Seagate's line of solid state disk drives. eASIC's other investors are Advanced Equities, Credit Suisse, Crescendo Ventures, Evergreen Pacific Partners, Khosla Ventures, and Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers.
