Pure Storage Pulls In $150M To Take On EMC
Flash storage startup Pure Storage, which develops flash-based storage arrays, has just raised an enormous, $150M funding round to take on storage giant EMC. According to the Mountain View-based startup, the funding came from T. Rowe Price, Fidelity, Tiger Global, as well as Sutter Hill, Greylock, Redpoint, and Index Ventures. The firm was advised by Allen & CO. in the deal. Pure Storage said it specifically would use the funding to take on EMC in the storage market.
