Cisco Buys WHIPTAIL For $415M
Mountain View-based Cisco announced this morning that it has acquired WHIPTAIL, a developer of high performance solid state memory systems. Cisco said it will pay $415M in cash and retention-based incentives for WHIPTAIL, which was based in New Jersey. WHIPTAIL will become part of Cisco's Computing Systems Product Group.
