Gobstopper Finds $1.8M In Seed Funding
San Francisco-based Gobstopper, which develops digital reading tools for teachers and students, announced today that it has raised $1.8M in a seed funding round. The round was led by Relay Ventures, and also included Reed Hastings and New Schools Venture Fund, Kapor Capital, Sand Hill Angels, and Garnett Ventures. Kevin Talbot of Relay Ventures joins the company's board with the funding. Gobstopper's service helps get a teacher's curriculum to a student's smartphone, tablet, or other browser device. The company said the funding will go towards new product and app development.
